No matter what I do and no matter what I change or try...
the game keeps crashing to the desktop before I even get to play the game. When I first installed the game I actually got to the screen where you have to create a new user file but then it crashed when I clicked on the first park and then everytime afterwards the game would crash BEFORE I even get to the create a new user screen. I uninstalled it and then re-installed it but that didn't work. I changed the capatability and that didn't work. Is there any code to keep it from crashing or something?? I use to have the same problem with Sims Unleashed but I put that code that lets you skip the intro into the shortcut and it stopped crashing soooo someone PLEASE help!!!!!!! |

Hi Dria,
Because you said the sims didn't crash when you bypassed the video try installing 327979: Recommended Update from the Windows Update site at http://v4.windowsupdate.microsoft.com This patch installs the Indeo codec on your computer, if the games are trying to use it for their intro videos and you do not have it that may cause a hang or drop back to the desktop. Also are you attempting to play the games with a limited or administrator user? -- Mark Salloway MS-MVP Windows XP [AE-Windows® XP] http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone http://www.mvps.org/marksxp "DriA" <Driaditie@hotmail.com> wrote in message news:6b3f01c3417d$5ffd0240$3101280a@phx.gbl... > No matter what I do and no matter what I change or try... > the game keeps crashing to the desktop before I even get > to play the game. Everytime i try to play sim theme park it crashes. I installed it today and played it afterward and it worked fine, except it would freeze for a second every now and again. But when i exited it out to download the second disc it would (for more rides and attractions). I tryed starting it up and it worked except when i was supposed to go to the menu it crashed. I played it on the windows XP too. Oh yeah when i first tried to install it, it wouldn't work so i got a patch off the internet and it worked fine. So the second time when it wouldn't work I uninstalled it and reinstalled it and it wouldn't work. So here i am trying to find a patch or figure out why it won't work.

I'm also having an issue with sime theme park. I have Windows xp and can't get Sim Theme Park to run. I keep getting an error saying TP.ICD. I have the Gold Edition and I was told that I have to download a patch that says NoCD executable but everytine I do that, it pops up as a ZIP file but no one can tell me where to Zip it to!!! Should I get another patch or what? Whats happening?
