Default How fast is your Internet connection?

We did a similar poll back in 2004 so I think it's time for a bit of an update!

2.2mbps. (fast but never quite fast enough )

thing that annoys me is that i never have downloaded something at 2.2mbps. maximum i have seen it is 180kb/second.

Thats about right aint it, If you mean the transfer rate?

Yeah, but it usually dips down to about 8 or 9 kb/second.

tried the link and it says 131.5kb downstream and 241.8 upstream, but that isnt consistent.

It should be about 120 per Mb

If you have a 2meg line you will average or should average 150 to 200

So thts about right depending on the server you are connecting to

If you have a 1 meg you should be getting around 118kb to 122kb, if 2 meg it should be 230kb to 242kb that is the maximum speed and obviously dependant on how fast the servers are that you are downloading from.....

Upload speed is greatly reduced....

Actually mine is 2.2Mbm broadband, so i guess it will go under the 8mb part.
