been deleted, thereofre wen i am on messenger and someone sends me a nudge i recieve it but there is not sound. I have tried going onto tool, options, alerts and sounds, sounds, and there are no sounds for the program events on windows mesenger nor messenger... I think some sounds have been deleted because all of the other program events have a sound and the right sound which is usually used... I guess i will need to download an .exe file for the problem... could anyone be of any help? thankyou |

Greetings,
The easiest way to repair this is to go to Add or Remove Programs in the Control Panel, click MSN Messenger and then choose Repair. -- Jonathan Kay Microsoft MVP - Windows Live Messenger/MSN Messenger/Windows Messenger Associate Expert http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/expertzone/ Messenger Resources - http://messenger.jonathankay.com All posts unless otherwise specified are (c) 2006 Jonathan Kay. Hi,
I and my Dad have the same problem with our computers and MSN 7.5. We tried the "repair" and this did not fix it. Also tried uninstall, reinstall, and rebooting. The one thing I am suspicious of is that we both tried the Messenger Beta, then uninstalled it, and reinstalled 7.5. That is when the problems began. Might it be related to this? Any other ideas?
