Hello. Here is the setup:
Computer 1: 2 network cards, 1 connected to cable modem Computer 2 (laptop): connected to computer 1 (twisted pair) both running XPSP2 - computer 1 can access the internet and 'see' computer 2 in My Network Places - computer 2 can 'see' computer 1 in My Network Places but cannot access internet - running Network Setup Wizard on both computer does not change anything - computer 1 and 2 can both 'ping' each other - computer 2 can not ping the cable modem can someone help me with IP adresses, gateways and so on? Thanks a lot reply by e-mail (alain_duclos@videotron.ca) would be appreciated |

You need to turn on Internet sharing. on the computer that is connected to
the modem. 1. Double click on your Network Connection in the System Tray 2. Click on Properties Button 3. Click on Advanced Tab 4. In the Internet Connection Sharing Box check the Box that says "Allow other network users to connect through this computers Internet connection. 5. Click OK Hope that helps........
