Default Microsoft MN-520 Not installing in XP SP2

We have an MN-520 on a new employees IBM notebook that was working fine
before we brought him into our network and made him do service updates.
Since the notebook was updated to SP2 for XP Pro, the wireless card will not
install anymore. The device comes up as "PCMCIA UNKNOWN_MANUFACTURER". If I
manually pick the driver for it it fails to work.

I've seen support bulletins on another site (Dell) stating they have the
same problem happen with SP2 installed but can't find any solutions for this.

Any advice / ideas welcome.
