Default Nutcracker and Rational rose

Forgive me if this is not the correct place to post this...we have some NuTcracker operating environment software which looks to me as being bundled with rational rose, and searches on the internet give vague evidence for this but IBM themselves are short in detail. Was the Rational suite originally bundled with NuTcracker as a means of porting the software from Unix to Windows and now this is not the case or does the current version of rational also use this technology or am I completely barking up the wrong tree??

Any help you can give would be most appreciated..
