Default Front Page links to drive

Hi,

I created and uploaded my web site from home with a databse included into
the site but the DB is not functional. No matter how many time i run the
interface wizard, the results db continues to point to the drive. For example,
I open the DB in frontpage then i close it and i see a message at the bottom
"processing D:\documents\home\locals\temp\frontpage temp dir" then frontpage
locks up.Anybody with a best guess please.

Did you actually create a web site before creating pages and a DB? Did you
then actually open the web site before publishing?

Yes.I created it and yes i did preview for each change i made to see what the
pages looked like with the new jpegs.
This is a site i made about a year ago and i was updating it.I removed the
old DB and i dragged and dropped the new DB on the main directory. From that
point on, the wizards kick in and i follow directions as far as use an
existing connection or new connection.I have tried old or new connection,
delete and recreate the folder.I am at standstill.

1) Never open the DB from w/i FP
- File Export it, then File Import back any changes
2) You should be using the DB in a server based web (online or in localhost)
3) After exporting the current DB,
Delete the DB in FP and use File Import to reimport it
- allow FP to place it in the fpdb folder
Then check the DB connection in Tools Site Settings Database

Hi,
I tried your suggestions step by step from work this morning and still it
links to drive.Could this be from bad publishing in the begining such as not
being connected to the server when i first published?
