Default Is oscdimg required to create a bootable CD? Need Help.

Please Help!

We are an ISV that has licensed WindowsPE for our disaster recovery
application. We use PE to produce a bootable CD that can run our product.
When users have unsupported storage or NDIS drivers, we need to be able to
add the additional drivers to the boot CD. This is not a problem, because we
have CD Burning tools that ship with our product.

The problem that we are now seeing is that if we create a bootable CD, where
the ISO image file was NOT created with oscding, we lose some functionality
in the OS. For example taskmgr will not run.

What is special about images created with oscding compared other ISO image
builders?

We cannot ship oscdimg with our application, but need to allow users to add
the neccessary drivers to the bootable cd.

Thanks
