When I install new hardware, windows doesn't know where to go to look for the
drivers. I need to tell it to go to windows/inf. Is there a setting that I can change to make this the default??? Thanks, Arnold |

Not allways a good idea to rely on win for the drivers, does your new hw not
come with a driver cd? Hii, that feild / box is given for you to enter the path of source for
hardware drivers that you get in a storage medium (floppy/cd) when u buy the hardware. the windows/inf directory doesnt contain drivers for all ur hardware needs, yes once they are installed u can use this path to search for the drivers if u plan on reinstalling / debuggin , etc... as they are stored here after installation. Hope this helps..., Umesh Thota www.windowsworkshop.com "Arnold" <Arnold@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:B3F064D8-BE90-42A4-BB27-E7626B2A425D@microsoft.com... > When I install new hardware, windows doesn't know where to go to look for > the > drivers.
