Calculation not updating between worksheets.

I have a problem with calculation on an Excel spreadsheet. Sometimes the
total from one worksheet is not updated on another worksheet in the same
workbook. The calculation will update if Ctrl + Alt + F9 are pressed. F-9
alone will not update the calculation. Automatic calculation is turned on.
This situation has occurred in a number of different cells. The problem
occurs infrequently and could easily be overlooked. Excel 2000 with SP-3 is
being used. How do I correct this?
