Default ATI MMC 9.13

When I attempt to record a TV program with V9.13 of MMC, after about 15 minutes the video starts to stutter - look like I am getting 4 or 5 frames per second rather than 30. The resultant video is the same as well. The audio is not affected and remains synced.

Anyone else seeing this problem? Thanks.

<snip>

I just switched over to 9.13 from 9.08 March 28. I have recorded 9 or
10 hours so far, 8 of them in 1 hour blocks. So far we've watched 5 of
them and no problems. It works better than 9.08 in that no more 1
second freezes every 5 minutes as the player changes files. After
reading everyone's horror stories, I was skeptical but I tried it
anyway. BTW, I use CCC6.1. The machine is

Gigabyte GA7N400 Pro 2
Dual Maxtor 160 gig drives RAID 0
1Gig ram
ATI HDTV Wonder with Winegard SquareShooter antenna in 90274
Pioneer DVR108 DVD writer
ATI 9600 Pro video card connected DVI to a Samsung DLP
Win XP Pro SP2, NET framework 1.1 DirectX 9.0c
No ethernet or wireless connections.

Yes, Paul I'm seeing the stuttering too. Seems to start after 50 mins or so. Had thought it was my virus scan (McAfee) but...

Same for me.....

9800pro AIW - MMC 9.13 - stuttering after the TV plays for a while

Sadly for me.... that is the only version that gives me corruption free recordings
And the Guide Plus+ app doesn't work with MMC 9.13 so unattended recording is also impossible
(or at least extremely inconvenient to manually program)

I'm not happy with ATi these days.... I have both a 9800Pro AIW and an x800xl

Support loves the term "the problem is in your system"
( I've got over 20 years in PC support experince! - it's NOT my system )

BTW, when I make the registry change to run live TV and do a recording, the recording is stutter-free. However the scheduling functionality appears to fail and the system occasionally freezes. Sheeesh. With all the rocket scientists they have working at ATI, you'd think they'd manage to get it right at least once.
