Dear list members:
I am using Excel 2003, service pack 2 with Windows XP. when I attempt to select a series of 10-12 rows and then try to click in an empty cell to place ,say, average value in that cell, the vertical scroll will take me well into thousands. Then the Excel stops responding. Also when I click a cell ,say, A1 to place the cursor there and type a number, it is impossible to click another cell, say, A3 : Excel scrolls in the direction of mouse (vertical or horizontal) into innumerable cells ("selecting" them) , then excel stops responding and fail to quit even with task managaer. Any help is warmly appreciated. With kind regards, Behzad Soleimani, MD |

Hello:
It could be the mouse driver. Check here for a suggested list of corrections: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/307812/en-us Pieter Vandenberg Behzad Soleimani, MD <BehzadSoleimaniMD@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote: : Dear list members: : I am using Excel 2003, service pack 2 with Windows XP. : when I attempt to select a series of 10-12 rows and then try to click in an : empty cell to place ,say, average value in that cell, the vertical scroll : will take me well into thousands. Then the Excel stops responding.
