i have WMM2 (latest version and all latest .dll's) and each time i try and
save a project i am getting the following... "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location. Verify that the original source files used in your movie are still available, that the saving location is available, and that there is enough free disk space available, and then try again." I have read hours of posts, visited all the right websites (papajon's included) but cannot solve this issue. here is a little of my troubleshooting. have created a small project with 5 jpgs only, no transitions, nothing. very simple. it saves fine as an DVI (.avi file), no problems cannot save in any other format computer winXP SP2 amd athlon XP 2600+ nvidia GeForce 6800 GT 256MB with driver v8.1.9.5 1.25GigRam Dual Display 3HD - total 580 Gigs have tried to use the ‘qasf.dll’ v9 and v10 files have uninstalled both ace mega packs and k-lite codec packs have VM (paging file size) set to a custom setting of initial size 2MB and max size of 2000 total paging file looks like min 2MB, Recommended 1918MB, Currently allowcated 1279MB have turned off all codecs in the new options for WMM2 all source files, output files and so forth are on my desktop could my wmv codec be faulty? is it the nvidia dual display? are the mega codec packs a problem? any help or advice is greatly appreciated ![]() |

I'm having the same problem. I was able to seam several wmv files together
last week but now I'm getting the same annoying advisory that you are. Some of your questions at the end caused me to think of changes I made on my system - namely using dual nvidia outputs. I'm using a VGA output to my monitor and the S-Video output to the tv. I'll check that out tonight. I also hope one of the MVPs will offer suggestions. -- brentromero "liquidmonkey" wrote: > i have WMM2 (latest version and all latest .dll's) and each time i try and > save a project i am getting the following... > "Windows Movie Maker cannot save the movie to the specified location.
