Only by trying will you know what suits your skill level & computer. You can have lots of browsers installed, just a matter of choosing which one you want as default. |

If you are a geek ( I mean it in the nice way) you might want firefox
since its extensions site gives you a tremendus amount of things to customize and expand your browsing experience. I think that this is the one thing that will keep firefox going and going... -- Kenny - www.ComputerBoom.com Take a look at my site! A World Full of Wonders... At any rate, they're both free...why not try 'em both and see which one suits you? |

I'll second the above. However IMO the Bookmarks in Opera are far better than in FF. -- To email me directly, remove CLUTTER. |

I like using a third party password program that does not integrate into Opera (otherwise I would use it more). I like the Opera feature to make the webpage being viewed fit your browser window. Opera is also faster in my opinion, but at the cost of functionality that I want. I agree with everyone here though. Try them both and see which you prefer. You are not out much more than time and you may find that you use them both. -- |

I must be an easy geek, then. The tabification stuff settled it for me. Not just the tabs, but center-button click on a link for open in new tab, same thing on a tab to close it, move the tabs around, etc. Makes working on fora easier. |

I went to it because you could customize the colors, fonts, and font size of pages displayed. I like viewing pages with a uniforms colors and fonts. You can now specify them in a personal style sheet. Also I could not live without the zoom feature to size pages in my window. Opera also has a feature to save web pages as text files. Unlike IE, I don't know about FF, you can save them as text files that you can manipulate with a word processor. IE screws up saved text files with hard returns that make it impossible to separate lines from paragraphs in a word processor. I print a lot of pages to read. I like to read them in two column small text to minimize the amount of paper that I use. I can do that with Opera and WordPerfect. I also could not live without the keyboard customization function in Opera. |

Does Opera take care of that? If yes, a good URL to get it. TIA Lou Education is about knowing where to look for answers. |
