Default convert .mov to something I can play on my dvd player?

My Kodak digital camera stores video files (with audio track) in .mov
format.

Is there a freeware program that would convert these files, both video and
audio, into something that I could then burn to a DVD or CD and play on my
DVD player and TV?

I tried using Nero 6.6, but it would not support .mov format.

thanks for any assistance,

Ed Chait

Super encoder will encode it to VCD- or DVD-compliant mpeg(2).

Do you have a link to the particular program you suggest?
