SEEK: util to create very basic windows in XP

Is there a utility which lets me create some folder windows which are
very basic: no tool bars, no status line, etc. I would put these on
the desktop and put a lot of cluttery icons in them.

If I modify a normal XP folder on the desktop to look like this then
the next folder I open anywhere inherits has the same look.

I want to restrict the basic-window look to just a few folders.
