FreePing

I asked a while ago if there was anything which could be set up to
automatically ping several IP's. A batch file solution was offered
which worked fine, however I found a slightly easier to use solution
which could be set to continuously ping.

Freeping is a free utility which allows you to set up several IP's
addresses to ping, each adjustable for rate and how long it waits for a
response. It can also pop up a window on a PC, if the ping fails,
though I have not yet managed to get this to work - anyone help on this
point?
