I have one Dsl connection and two different subnets. Is there a cheap way of
sharing the dsl connection to both subnets? I also want each subnet to see each other. Any suggestions. |

What's your budget?
What type of computers do you have ... windows ... linux ... unix? Since you mention two subnet, do you have any networking equipment beyond the DSL modem or are you referring to the fact that you have to assigned IPs from your DSL provider? Linksys and DLink routers are inexpensive and can be setup as either gateways or routers. |

.....if you want each subnet to see each other why are they on different
subnets in the first place? The point of subnetting is to divide networks into separate ones that cannot talk, usually for security. Anyway that aside, stick a second network card in your pc to turn it into a router and set one network card for one subnet and the other network card for the other you can also use multiple routers. This is temporarily. I created two subnets for security reasons. But now i
need to configure a camera system remotely so i dont have to waste 4 hrs in driving time. We were supposed to get our own internet connection so that the camera system can be monitored remotely but the customer changed his mind. So now i want to use their existing internet connection to configure my system remotely and when im done i will disconnect it. The Camera system is on a 2003 network. The other subnet is windows xp pro computers. The reason i want to do this as cheap as possible cause this is comming out of my pocket.
