Default Mail no coming into OE

Just got a new computer since the other died on me.. Anyway, I'm new to XP
but not OE..
I've set up my mail account like I normally do and can send email with no
problem but am not receiving email.
Any ideas?
I checked my ISP and have the pop3 server entered correctly. Can't figure
out what i did wrong.

If you are not receiving mail, you haven't got the pop3 server set up
correctly, no matter what you think. Check again on your ISP's website
for the correct settings. Your headers show alltel.net and if that is
correct and your email address ends with @alltel.net, your pop3 server
should be mail.alltel.net. Check for typos. Also make sure you haven't
checked the Log On using Secure Password Authentication if the ISP
doesn't require it (most don't). Double-check your password again.

In addition, try disabling the email scanning in your antivirus. This
does not leave you unprotected.

What happens when you try to receive mail?
If there are any error messages give us the complete error message.
Turn off email scanning in your anti-virus; it provides no added protection.

I've done all of the recommend things.. checked and double checked several
times over..
no error messages.. I can send out email to my hotmail account but if I send
email to myself from outlook express or hotmail it never comes in....
I've checked the pop3 server and incoming and outgoing is mail.alltel.net..
thanks for the replies.. I guess I'll be making a phone call to my server.

If you go to alltel.net's webmail page http://mail.alltel.net/, are the
messages found there?

Post any error messages you may be receiving.
