add/remove programs

How do I remove a program that was installed with a disk and now I dont
have the disk? when i try removing the program it states, "Please
insert disk" and like I previously mentioned I dont have the disk.
What I tried to do was go into my hard drive and remove it from there
it looked like it did remove it but then I went to add/remove programs
and it was stil there. so i dont know if it is still installed in my
computer or not. Please help

Hi,

Sounds like you just went ahead and deleted the program folder, and now it's
still showing in add & remove. Bad move, as you've likely made things worse.
The uninstaller is looking for supporting files in the deleted folder, and
since it can't find them it wants the original installation media. A nice
catch 22 if you've lost or sold the disk.....

First check the recycle bin, if you haven't emptied it the program folder
may still be in there and can be restored to its original position. Then you
should be able to remove the program properly. Failing that, you may be
stuck without the original installation disk. I would check to see about
replacing it.
