Default Recreate Dreamweaver website in Frontpage without source files??

Is there a way of using Frontpage (or an add-on) to point to a website on the
internet and for the home page and all other linked pages to be re-created in
Frontpage. This is becuase our old headmaster left without telling anyone
where the master files were and we can't find them. I don't really want to
have to save every page from the website manually.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Do you have Dreamweaver?

There's always something you can do.
What's the URL?

If you make web sites for other people, you should check out ContentSeed:

yah, it's snagable...it's abt 19meg, i got most of it I think including the
css sheets and images and stuff. You may have to mess with the frames
though - I hate frames so I don't spend much time with them.

bbl...

Steve,

Open FP
File | Import
The Import Wizard thingie will open...select HTTP and then type in your web
address http://www.primroselane.leeds.sch.uk/
Next
Then you'll be prompted where to publish it to on your machine...I just
created a disc-based web when I downloaded yours to:
C:\Documents and Settings\Rob\My Documents\My Web Sites\stevessite

but if you're running IIS on your local machine you'd Publish it to
http://localhost/stevesite (or whatever you want to call it)

Next screen is Set Import limits

check the top box Import the home page plus linked pages AND I set the
levels deep to 5 - which seemed to work or set it higher for good measure.

Then Next and wait...took about 20 minutes on vdsl connection.

I think I had gotten most of it.

You'll have some clean up to do, but looks managable.

ps...DUMP the frames you really don't need frames and they'll drive you
nuts.

good luck..hth,

Rob
