iPAQ h5500 light sensor

Hopefully someone can help me out with this question, I want to make
use of the light sensor in some C# code, I know its possible to read
from the sensor as Familiar Linux makes use of the sensor with
/proc/hal/light_sensor

Does anyone know how this could be acomplished in C#? I assume I just
need to know the memory address for the sensor value and make use of
the Marshal class...
