Default 1.0 vs 2.0 CF

Can the latest .NET Compact Framework 2.0 runtime libraries be installed and
run on devices housing older Microsoft CE OS's (i.e. Pocket PC 2002 or
Pocket PC 2003)? I am new to Pocket PC development and I am concerned about
using the correct version of the .NET Compact Framework to ensure maximum
portability across devices running the various available MS OS's for mobile
devices.

thanks,
Ivan

Pocket PC 2003 is the oldest platform supported by .NETCF v2.0. Prior to
this you have only the option of v1.0.

Hello,

there's no need to develop for CF 2.0 if you don't need any specific
functions of it, since CF 2.0 can run all 1.0 apps as well.

Greetings

Markus
