Outlook Startup fails

every time i start outlook, i get an error message that it must shut down.
when i select debug it continues running and down load my mail. it then
gives the error message again. this time when i select debug, it shuts down.
when i start it again, it runs fine. when i select to send microsoft the
error message, i get a directed to a page that discribes my error as caused
by symantic winfax. i have removed that program from my computer long ago.
(prior to the problem beginning). any suggestions???
