Runtime error in opening Outlook 2002

When I ran out of MS Office 2003 trial version on 28 Feb 2006, I installed MS
Office XP Professional with Publisher version 2002 after buying I genuine
software.
I could install MS Office XP. When I tried to check my email in Microsoft
Outlook, all hell started. I am not able to open my email. Then I tried
following steps :
1. Uninstalled MS Office SB Edition 2003 Trial version.
2. Tried to open Microsoft Outlook but the message came “ Unable to open
your default email folders. Could not open the item. Try Again. Hitting OK
displays “Would you like to open your default file system folder instead?
Hitting YES (Hitting NO closes Microsoft Outlook) displays “Microsoft Visual
C++ Runtime Library : Runtime Error !
Program : C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office10\OUTLOOK.EXE
This application has requested Runtime to terminate it in a unusual way.
Please contact the application’s support team for more information.
3. Could set up my email account in Outlook Express.
4. Then again tried to set up email account in Microsoft Outlook, same
message (as in no. 2) is coming. Deleted account from Outlook Express, then
tried again in Micrsoft Outlook, same message is coming.
5. If somebody can help me me out from this trouble.

My system is SONY VAIO laptop 2GHz, RAM 1 GB with genuine Windows XP
Professional.
