Did MS screw up big on this one or is it just me?

Sorry MS and Defender. You had a great product in the Anti-Spyware Beta 1 but
you have managed to completely ruin this one. I realize that the MS devs will
fail to make any drastic changes and it will eventually become another MS Bob
but thankfully there is still Sunbelt's CounterSpy product that will be
protecting my business from here on out.

I think a lot of people are not happy. I to had the MS Antispyware Beta for
long time with no problems whatsoever it actually done a pretty good job of
catching spyware, and recomended it. But this Defender version is horrible
and only had it a few days before deleteing it. The Counter Spy is almost the
same program but in latest tests it was not up to par on detecting potential
threats. MS in my mind should have stayed with what worked and fine tuned it
with better spyware detection etc..

I agree. Defender keeps complaining about an piece of "spyware" I marked as
"Always Ignore" a week ago. Every hour on the hour it toots its horn about
how it saved me, and I can't make the little balloon go away. And for
technical help I can post in a newsgroup where MS will start ignoring me
immediately! Bleh.
