Default Defender deletes IE6 downloads

After installing Defender, I found that I could no longer download files via
IE6. The files would appear breifly and the automatically delete. It didn't
seem to matter what directory I saved them in.

Further, I found that FireFox WOULD let me download files without them being
deleted.

After uninstalling Defender, I can now download files from IE6 without
problem.

Thanks for this report. I've seen a number like it, and don't have a
workaround, unfortunately.

Hello Dennis,

did you try when you put off realtime protection "Internet explorer
downloads" if you can download?
Did you try in the install/uninstall menu click on Info then repair?
