Same here. Sometimes things get worse before they get better, if they ever do.

I was just working with a machine, not brand new, and not highest spec--dell
sx260--that does a quickscan in a minute and a half. Not sure I've ever done a full scan on it. -- "rsc" <rsc@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:6D35C3BB-61E6-4666-8BBB-10DC11DD7118@microsoft.com... > Same here. My last quikscan took about 15 minutes, 40 k items, lst night 5 hours 900 k
items. I wish they didn't get rid of the full log. I am trying to remember the numbers. I'll bet there is a log but hidden. Wonder what it is? Quickscan, I think, will vary mostly by how many startup items you have. My
example was an office machine with very little loaded on it--nothing down there in the tray. Full scans can be very long, depending on number of files. And number of files includes everything in an ISO or a ZIP file. -- "Tom Emmelot" <t.emmelot@chello.nl> wrote in message news:Ok3SiZyOGHA.3432@TK2MSFTNGSA01.privatenews.microsoft.com... > Hello Bill, > > did some test. > > Quick scan (only C:\ and register by default) 2.22 Min > Full scan on C:\ (used 52 GB, 89.131 files in 7.571 Maps.
