I built my site at home on FrontPage 2000. Home computer is offline ME
edition. I copied my site to disc so I could run it from my daughter's online computer, XP edition. I installed FrontPage 2000 on her computer, opened my disc, everything seemed okay until I tried to open a page. I get a server error that says service.lck cannot be opened for writing. Help!? |

Delete the file and make sure you copy the web from the CD to folder on the HD, then remove all
read-only attributes. -- ============================================== Thomas A. Rowe (Microsoft MVP - FrontPage) ============================================== If you feel your current issue is a results of installing a Service Pack or security update, please contact Microsoft Product Support Services: http://support.microsoft.com If the problem can be shown to have been caused by a security update, then there is usually no charge for the call. ============================================== "Dreama" <Dreama@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:4BBE6439-312B-459D-A4E2-821997FC070E@microsoft.com... >I built my site at home on FrontPage 2000. Use Windows Explorer to remove the Read Only attributes from every
file in the web. When you save anything to a CDR, it becomes Read Only, and copying back to a hard disc does not remove the RO attributes. -- Ron Symonds - Microsoft MVP (FrontPage) Reply only to group - emails will be deleted unread.
