On my PC if I create a text file as an administrator then try to edit it
as a user I cannot overwrite the file. On another PC the user can. Is this some overall system setting?? Thanks Jack Russell |

The user would need at least write or maybe modify permissions to the file.
Compare NTFS permissions on that file on each computer and I bet there is a difference. --- Steve http://support.microsoft.com/defaul...kb;en-us;308418 --- XP folder/file permissions.
