Hello everyone,
I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this question but thought it might be a good place to start. We have 1 xp pro machine that will not open a particular website. hosts file is clean AV is up to date and clean Have run Spysweeper and cleaned everything have flushed the dns on local machine. I can do a dns lookup on the site and it resolves the correct address. I have tried multiple browsers still with out any luck. It comes back with a generic message "page cannot be displayed" Any direction would be appreciated. Greg |

It works fine from every other machine on the network. We are all NAT'd
behind the firewall. Thank you, "JStickles" <JStickles@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:ABB53FBD-C45E-4E85-9F45-F443FD1840A4@microsoft.com... > > > "Greg Howard" wrote: > >> Hello everyone, >> >> I am not sure if this is the correct forum for this question but thought >> it >> might be a good place to start. >> >> We have 1 xp pro machine that will not open a particular website. >> >> hosts file is clean >> AV is up to date and clean >> Have run Spysweeper and cleaned everything >> have flushed the dns on local machine. >> >> I can do a dns lookup on the site and it resolves the correct address. >> >> I have tried multiple browsers still with out any luck. If its supposed to be working because it can ping then that makes there is a
security setting, probably firewall blocking it. Is there special rules on your out packets at this computer? |
