How to have a flagged and dated item pop up for action

I flag and date for follow up either an incoming or ougoing message. Having
dated it I expect that it will pop up at me similar to the reminder when
setting an appointment. But, it does not. Does anyone know how to have
these e-mails come back when dated for attention at that time?

Are they in a default folder or have you moved them? If you moved them, the
reminder does not fire - they will just turn red and hope that you notice
them.

I have not moved them. They come up as a group when I sort by flag. They
also appear in the Search Folders - for follow up file. But they don't. pop
up to remind me. I other words they 'just hope I will notice them' as you
say. This, for me, is not good enough. Do you have any other ideas for me
on this problem?

But what folder is their residence folder? Search folders finds items in
many folders. Where are you sorting by flag status? If mail items, the
items must be in your In-box, no where else.
