that is a 3rd party application, it is not included in Windows, I think Ghost
will make one. "oxicottin" wrote: > Hello, Im building my first PC and Im going to install Windows XP Pro SP2 and > I was woundering when I set up my HD how and what is a recovery partition? When installing I'd leave some space for a second partition. 10GB is enough
usually, though you can make it larger to allow several backups. Create the second partition under Disk Administrator once the system's installed. You can then use Ghost or Drive Image to image your install to the second partition. Use FAT32 so it will be acessible from a bootdisk. If you don't want the second partition to be visible in Explorer, remove its drive-letter. (It will stil be accessible from a bootdisk, this only affects Windows.) |
