Default 3rd device on IDE channel ?

Perhaps a stupid question but is it possible to have more than 2 devices
i.e. 3 on an IDE channel ?

Not without an add-in PCI controller card. Controller cards are
inexpensive and easy to install, though. Just make sure your power

But You already have.
Motherboard + the 2 drives.
That's it, no more on one cable, no use in adding extra connectors.

NO! 2 devices only per channel unless the IDE controller has be specially
modified and there are drivers provided.
