Windows Activation Key

I downloaded a copy of windows xp from our MSDN subscription and I was
installing it on a newly formated disk and I was asked to input the
activation key. Upon entering the key, I was notified that it was invalid
even though I believe to be valid. If there any way to verify the activation
key?

You can only use a Product Key obtained from the MSDN
subscriber web site. If you are attempting to use an OEM
Product Key, it will not work.
