Sizing slideshows to fit in cell

I'm trying to add a slideshow to a web site and fit it in a cell that's 400
pixels wide (or smaller). The actual images I'm using are less than the 400
pixels desired, but no matter what I do, I end up with a cell that is around
600 pixels wide. To be more specific, I'm using a table at 800 pixels wide
split into 2 cells at 400 pixels wide. I want a slideshow with 3 to 6
pictures (image size 400 pixels or less wide) to fit into my cell... or be
even smaller!
