Does front page 2002 recognize mp3 audio?

My Front Page 2002 bible tells me that FP 2002 can use mp3 audio for page
backgrounds and other things but when I browse my computer for mp3 file FP
2002 does not recognize that format. It will use wav and a host of other
formats but I need it to recognize mp3. Please advise.

You could insert it manually in the code <bgsound="music/yoursong.mp3">
which is method 2 on the page link Tom Willett gave you.
