Default what digital camera to buy


looking to get a digital camera to use with the movie maker,one that takes
mpeg with sound clips ,any ideas,??? the hp 945 seems to work good ,but the
reviews are bad,,also ,does the movie maker support all mpeg s ? 1,2,3,4 ??

Hi
The specification I read was a video resolution of 288x208...This is far
too small.

I assume you are mainly after a still camera ....so the stills quality
is the most important. If you mainly want video I would get a proper dv
camera.
Having said that I still use my canon A70 at 15frames per second quite
successfully (even though I also have a mini dv camera). 15fps is a a
bit low. The new canons do 30fps and take a very good photo as well.

Look for something with 640x480 30fps there are plenty on the market....
Formats that wont work with mm2 (without conversion) are .mov and mpeg2.

My Canon uses mjpeg successfully and I believe Kodak and
Panasonic(Lumix) also. I dont know about the zoom though.
