I have original PC win ME and bought XP home upgrade. It stops the install
process with 53 mins to go. I had MS support send me anothe disk in case the one I had was bad and the same thing happened. It stops at 53 min. to go. I have gone as far as installing a new hard drive, reinstalled ME and tried the upgrade again. Same results. Any other thoughts, ME is very unstable and I would love to move off it. -- Thanks, RP |

What are the hardware specs for your PC? What is the CPU model and speed? How much RAM do you have? At this point I suggest that you try doing a "clean install" of Windows XP onto your new hard drive. You will be asked to insert your Windows Me CD briefly during the install process to validate your eligibility to use the upgrade version. Good luck Ron Martell Duncan B.C.
