Default Huge pixles when downloading footage and making movies


I have a Sony DCR TRV 33E and a Compaq Presario 2500 notebook running Windows
XP. I can download footage and create movies in Moviemaker but the quality is
very poor, massive pixles etc. The laptop runs other footage with a good
quality, so its not the PC itself. Any tips?
