I am trying to make a video for work using photos of jobs we have done. I
know how to add the photos, and do the transitions and all the other cool stuff, but the one thing I can NOT figure out is how to get the photo to fill the whole frame so that I am not left with black bands on the sides or top/bottom. I have a couple of photos that actually fill the frame, so I tried resizing the rest of the photos to the same size thinking that would help, but nope!! Can anyone tell me HOW to get the picture to fill the frame? I can NOT have this black background showing, as the video is going to be used on a grey background and will look awful. Thanks for any help you can give me!! |

The photo's need to be in a 4.3 size ratio if you want them to fill the
whole frame, so something like 640x480, 1280 x 960 etc. Then depending on the size of the photos they may blow up to fit the size of the screen and not look good, as in a 320x240 picture will pixelate. -- Graham Hughes MVP Digital Media www.myvideoproblems.co.uk www.dvds2treasure.com www.simplydv.com "Gurlonthesun" <Gurlonthesun@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5CF5D0AE-41C9-40F1-B7BC-67BF081D8D4B@microsoft.com... >I am trying to make a video for work using photos of jobs we have done. This would mean that no matter how you *resize* the images...they are still in Portrait orientation and you will have black bands on both sides. The solution would be to *crop* the Portrait images so they become Landscape orientation. If you need a good crop tool...the following freebie has one..and as Graham suggests... there is an option to choose 4:3 aspect ratio: FastStone Image Viewer http://www.faststone.org/FSViewerDetail.htm -- John Inzer MS Picture It! To add to what the others said try Microsoft Photo Story 3. It has better
transitions and much better control over the transitions. It also has a crop feature built in to get rid of those black bars. http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/...ry/default.mspx -- Wojo -------------------- Wojo's Web: http://www.remember-christopher.dostweb.com/Wojos_web/ "Gurlonthesun" <Gurlonthesun@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:5CF5D0AE-41C9-40F1-B7BC-67BF081D8D4B@microsoft.com... >I am trying to make a video for work using photos of jobs we have done.
