Just about my favorite program is Windows Movie Maker.
I have been using it since its inception with no problems at all. Yesterday it suddenly stopped importing any of my .gif files with an error message that "this file is corrupted, or has been moved' It takes all my other files including .jpg, but will no longer open any of my ..gif files. My question is, If it remove the program and re-install it, will it be the same or work as it has been doing for all of these years. Thanking you in advance Lou |

I just checked and found I have movie maker 2.1
I read on the group the following ===================================================== "If you have Movie Maker 2.1 (comes with SP2) then the only way to reinstall it is to uninstall and reinstall SP2. Before doing that try doing a system restore back to an earlier point and see if that solves the problem." ===================================================== What is the best thing to do ? =================================================== "Lou Angel" wrote: > Just about my favorite program is Windows Movie Maker. > I have been using it since its inception with no problems at all. > Yesterday it suddenly stopped importing any of my .gif files > with an error message that "this file is corrupted, or has been moved' > It takes all my other files including .jpg, but will no longer open any of > my > ..gif files. > > My question is, > If it remove the program and re-install it, will it be the same > or work as it has been doing for all of these years. > > Thanking you in advance > > Lou > > > |
