I made a slideshow with Movie Maker and used the "NTSC" save mode. The show
includes photos only and two music clips. I burned it to DVD using Nero. It played back on the DVD player but the sound was a little scratchy. Not very bad but annoying. The audio is ripped at 128, and when I've burned photo shows using Photo Story 3 I haven't had this problem. Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks! |

To be more specific, I didn't use the DV-AVI (NTSC) save mode but the High
Quality Video (NTSC) mode. |

is the sound "scratchy" when the saved movie file is played on the PC ?
could be a nero problem. the only other advice I would offer is get in the habit of converting your music to wav files before importing into moviemaker. Movie maker is notorious for not "playing well" with mp3's. It sounds fine when played on the PC. Nero burned a Photo Story show for me
without any problems, so I'm going to try the .wav idea. Thanks! Converting to WAV or WMA would be my suggestion as well.
Saving to High Quality NTSC was the right move since you are dealing with images not video but with MP3's I have experienced this same issue in the past. -Wojo "KSquared" <KSquared@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A05D24ED-ECCD-4305-8BC8-63923244412B@microsoft.com... > It sounds fine when played on the PC. Thanks for the excellent advice! I converted the music to WMA format,
replaced the MP3 music in the original photo show, and burned it with Nero. The stuttering and scratchiness are gone and I have a great photo show. Thanks again :-) "Wojo" wrote: > Converting to WAV or WMA would be my suggestion as well. > Saving to High Quality NTSC was the right move since you are dealing with > images not video but with MP3's I have experienced this same issue in the > past. > -Wojo > > "KSquared" <KSquared@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message > news:A05D24ED-ECCD-4305-8BC8-63923244412B@microsoft.com... > > It sounds fine when played on the PC.
