Every time I try to work with any video clip Movie Maker2 it will respond
incorrectly or it will stop responding just after I even do one or two clicks or movements trying to manipulate the clips in any way such as(add efects, titles, fade in or out or playback, stop and try playback again, etc.) will cause the program to stop responding . I run File decoder checkup utility and find out that there are two Decoder files incompatible...they are: lmpgvd.ax and DVDvideo.ax. Well I disable them using Movie Maker options, but the problem still there. Is there any way to remove decoders for good? I understand that Movie Maker is a windows system program...is there any way to uninstall it and re-install it? |

If you have Movie Maker 2.0 then you can reinstall by downloading it here:
http://www.download.com/Windows-Mov...tml?tag=lst-0-2 If you have Movie Maker 2.1 (comes with SP2) then the only way to reinstall it is to uninstall and reinstall SP2. Before doing that try doing a system restore back to an earlier point and see if that solves the problem. It could also be that one of your other codecs while normally compatible with Movie Maker are corrupted or bad in some other way. Try disabling ALL codecs/filters and see if the program works properly then. There is a trouble shooting page on my website in the "Movie Maker" section about codec problems. -Wojo -- Wojo's Web: http://www.remember-christopher.dostweb.com/Wojos_web/ Also Please visit..... http://www.remember-christopher.dos...om/christopher/ "Aballarde" <Aballarde@discussions.microsoft.com> wrote in message news:A78EB7F5-190E-46B4-928D-CEB39B6FEC0C@microsoft.com... > Every time I try to work with any video clip Movie Maker2 it will > respond > incorrectly or it will stop responding just after I even do one or two > clicks > or movements trying to manipulate the clips in any way such as(add efects, > titles, fade in or out or playback, stop and try playback again, etc.) > will > cause the program to stop responding .
