Have you verified your outgoing mail server?

Yes. Plus, when TESTing ACCOUNT SETTINGS everything is fine,e.g. it finds
both incoming and outgoing server, but that's it. Thanks

Where are you getting the message about the test message? Sounds like
Outlook is finding the server, essentially proving it exists, but it can't
use it for outgoing mail. Is that about right?

Ye, it looks like it, because when I create a new message and press send it
goes to OUTBOX. I then open it from there and press SEND again and I get this
message: UNABLE TO SEND MESSAGE.PLEASE VERIFY THE E-MAIL ADDRESS IN YOUR
PROPERTIES.THE SERVER RESPONDED:??0 AUTHENTICATION REQUIRED. Does that make
sense? Cheers

Sure, and it tells you what you must do. Click Tools>E-mail Accounts>Next.
Select your acchount, click Change, then More Settings. Click the Outgoing
Server tab and put a check in the "My outgoing server (SMTP) requires
authentication". Click OK, then Finish. Stop and restart Outlook.

Thanks Brian, but that was already done. Don't worry if you can't get me any
further help. I'll keep trying. But it's really annoying not to be able to
send E-mails. Thanks again

Hi Rosi,

I am having the exact same problem. Have you resolved it? Any advice would
be greatly appreciated.

No, Wendy. I just gave up and am no longer using it. Sorry, I know how
frustrating it is...
