installing a photo as a background to a web page

I am trying unsuccessfully to instal a phot as a web page background. When I
insert the photo is splits it into four section. I just want it to show one
photo. Any ides?

Set it as a watermark. Note that this does not work in all browsers
(originally an IE only feature).
