How record from Mike onto Hard drive?

How record from Mike onto Hard drive? |

I use windows xp pro and the soundmax builtin which is on the ASUS
motherboard. I can test the mike and it works fine with the wizard. But how can I record onto the harddrive a test portion and then listen to it? |

I was there before but do not know why it did not work then. It DOES work now.
