Default music copyright

I have embedded a music file into my PP presentation but have used a 50
extract from an artist on a CD which I have converted to wav -this PP will be
on the net - non profit making - can i use the wav or will I be hit by
copyright?

Being in Music Education, I try to stay clear of any potentials for copyright
problems. You might want to do the same. It's not worth it.

Think of it this way,
even though you are not making any profit out of it, other users can listen
to the song for free through your presentation. They can then extract the
song out from your presentation and save the money from buying the album.

Hi

Every piece of music has an owner, only the owner decides how the music is
used.
By posting on the internet you have deprived the owner from deciding how to
use the music.

You will have commited theft .

You must have the written concent of the owner to change the use of how the
music is used. If you do not have permission, you can be sued and you can
have criminal procedings taken against you leading to imprisonment or fine.

Now that you know the legal implications, what do you want to do ?
