I created a custom contact form in a public folder, then I created a test contact using that form after it was published. Later, I
modified the form. After that, I opened the test contact and I found that the test contact didn't reflect the changes I made. It still shows the form as it was before changes. This is a real problem. what did I do wrong and how can I avoid this going forward? -- RMC,CPA |

After you modified the form, did you increment the version number on the (Properties) page and publish it again using the same message class?

Hi Sue,
I didn't do that. I published it again using the exact same name, saving over the prior version. What is a message class? This is a contact form, if that makes any difference. Thanks, -- RMC,CPA "Sue Mosher [MVP-Outlook]" <suemvp@outlookcode.com> wrote in message news:%23wFswqKBGHA.3624@TK2MSFTNGP10.phx.gbl... The message class is derived from the name you gave when you originally published it, e.g. IPM.Contact.My Form. If you published it again with the same name, it should have the same message class, which you can see on the Tools | Forms | Choose Form dialog if you expand the details.
The purpose of incrementing the version number is to make it possible to know exactly which version of the form you're using. You may also find it helpful to create a new item with the new version of the form and/or clear the forms cache. -- Sue Mosher, Outlook MVP Author of Configuring Microsoft Outlook 2003 http://www.turtleflock.com/olconfig/index.htm and Microsoft Outlook Programming - Jumpstart for Administrators, Power Users, and Developers http://www.outlookcode.com/jumpstart.aspx "R.
