Default Limit Licenses to Selected Clients

Can I limit the issuance of TS licenses to selected clients thru IP or
hostname?

No, by default TS CALs are issued on a first-come basis.

But there's a freeware utility which can do this: SecureRDP
http://www.2x.com/securerdp/

thanks. To further that, my license server is the only license server in my
org and it gives out TS licenses to administrator's PC when they RDP to
other servers for remote admin purposes. There take the built-in W2k
licenses. I know that's FOC but wanted to know how to limit that. If they
used Win 98 PCs ; there goes licenses for my legitimate users. So TS license
server by default gives out license to any client that request without
criteria?

A TS License Server issues a license to any client which connect
to a Terminal Server, yes.
As soon as you have switched to Application Server mode on a W2K
TS, you need a TS CAL for every client, also for Administrators.
You cannot limit it to "normal users" only, the server has no way
of knowing what is normal usage and what is remote administration.

If the Terminal Server runs 2003, then you can connect to the
console of the server without taking a license (mstsc /console).
This is possible for Administrators only.
